I realise some of you may already know this, but this conversation was begun on another mod forum here on STEP and needed to be continued here instead, so this is for those that may come across the same issue or confusion momentarily. Well, the best choice is to simply name the update/optional file exactly as the one it is meant to merge with - which means that when you know your going to be installing various files for the same mod, you need to choose what it is going to be called as a whole - and these options will appear again and this part of the STEP can be achieved easily and as the STEP instructs. Which is because the meta-data does not exist within the Download folder you (should) have set up in your MO2 installation and instance of said game. That being when the STEP says to merge files when you did not download them from the Nexus, but like me, have system stored mods from various games that you are simply re-installing in many ways back into a MO2 Profile for what ever game.Īnd the option to Merge, Replace, Rename, or Cancel does not appear. If there is a S.T.E.P video detailing this procedure of creating overwrite mods please tell me so I can link it aswell Edited Jby GernashĪs much a ted-talk as qanda, but the concept of Merging updates or other files into a main file has come up in my current re-installation of SSE and modding of it: Here is a LINK to a video showing how it's done (man he can type )

Manual mod merging and leveled item lists >Video>Video<< As it was made for Skyrim, it has some information that does not apply to Fallout 4, such as the Steam Workshop part which you can just ignore. These settings allow for files from mods to be loaded in-game.

Reason why MO2 isn’t the main mod manager is that it was made for Bethesda games. Mod Organizer 2 In this step, we will install and configure Mod Organizer 2, the best mod manager for any Bethesda game. So to get Bobble girl to work I drilled down BobbleGirl and did the appropriate edits to an over write mod. Mod Organizer 2 was developed by Tannin, the same guy who leads Vortex development. I use Bobble Girl, Functional displays and Valdacil's Item Sortingįunctional displays >overwrites > BobbleGirl.esp > Valdacil's Item Sorting reverts the Model You can right click on them then apply filter (default settings) then you will SEE the exact overwrites.Į.g.

Once you get the order right then all the mods should appear. Usually something like Exception: "Whatever.esp" requires master "Whatever.esm" to be loaded before it If it bombs out read the right pane for the error and move the mods accordingly Try this, might help.Fire it up and make sure all the esp's you are running are selected. So for anyone who has streched textures running all over your screen making it unplayble.

I haven't picked yet because I don't know what it is.įallout4prefs: added to Launcher - bEnableFileSelection=1įallout4Custom: added Archive - bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 and sResourceDataDirsFinal=įallout4: added General - bUseCombinedObjects=0 and bDisableAllGore=0įor the last on General, its to help intel computors prevent streching of textures. Would you like to make it not read-only? Yes or no. There is also a pop-up for Fallout NMM about "plugin.txt" is read-only, so it can't be managed by Nexus Mod Manager.

If it helps, my Fallout 4 is version 1.8.7.0, NNM 0.61.5 (can't update it for some reason, an error I'm trying to fix atm), and my computor is weak as hell (planning to upgrade) so I have to play on the smallest resolution so that it won't freeze as much :3 My next guess is to uninstall all mods, and try them each one at a time to see if the problem is the mods breaking each other. it has to be something on my end but I have no idea. So I'm kind of stuck at this point, and since the other mods are also not in game. ini files, and tried redownloading using different versions of the mod and downloading it manually. I load my game via F4SE and installed my mods via NMM. Maybe you glorious folks on the Nexus Forums can throw me a bone. There were no requirements of other mods listed, rechecked my. of 7 - Mods installed and enabled via NMM, but not showing up ingame - posted in Fallout 4 Mod Troubleshooting: At my wits end trying to get these mods to work. Only problem is, its not there so I assumed I downloaded it wrong. The mod's Personal Guard Radio is in the specials tab, so I'm using the quest to build Mama Murphy's chair to use the tab. Nothing seemed wrong (from my experience with modding Skyrim) so I went into the new game save. Mod downloaded fine, files are in the right spot, plugins are checked. I'm pretty new at this so it most likely is something in my end.Ī mod for example is Construct A Custom Campanion which I couldn't find a download directions for in case I needed to change something in the. I used the console commands to search for the items but couldn't find it. The upside is that CBBE and Bodyslide works but my other mods which involves items like weapons and clothing aren't in the game, I think. As it says, my mods aren't appearing in game.
